This is a mitigation strategy. That is, our baseline to deal with ghosts is to prevent observations that create ghosts. We should ensure that we have a framework to correct for the ghosts if the baseline strategy is not sufficient.
A ghosts-producing catalog of bright stars should be available, because we will also use that to prevent ghost-affected observations. So we can use that to predict the ghosts.
We should separate the 'predict / measure /estimate ghosts' step from the 'flag / subtract' step.Standard Imaging: internal delivery documentationhttps://gitlab.astro-wise.org/micado/micadowise/-/issues/16Consider using pydantic2022-08-26T18:05:28ZHugo Buddelmeijerhugo@buddelmeijer.nlConsider using pydanticSee

It is impossible to correct the actual pixel values because it is unknown what the color of the light is (and therefore unknown what direction of the correction).
However, it should be possible to assign an uncertainty to the pixels at the outskirts of the field where the dispersion correction is not perfect.Standard Imaging: internal delivery documentationhttps://gitlab.astro-wise.org/micado/micadowise/-/issues/50Perhaps replace some ObjectTypes with DataTypes in VODML2022-08-26T19:05:43ZHugo Buddelmeijerhugo@buddelmeijer.nlPerhaps replace some ObjectTypes with DataTypes in VODMLSee discussion on mailinglist:

This is probably also necessary for the imaging, so we should ensure that we include such an object in the pipeline.
The detector position is supposedly very stable. Only warm-up and cool-down could potentially influence this, but we expect not.
